Data sources
Traveler reviews are the heart of FriendlySkies Review. Alongside them we show official and community-maintained open data, so you can compare what the numbers say with what travelers experience. We are grateful to the people and agencies who publish it.

Good to know
- On-time statistics cover U.S. airlines that report to the DOT. Regional flights are reported by the airline that operates them, such as SkyWest or Republic, not the brand on the ticket.
- A “Flight confirmed” badge means public ADS-B tracking data shows the flight the reviewer named actually operated on that day. It cannot prove who was on board.
- Live aircraft positions are delayed and incomplete, and must never be used for navigation. Arrival estimates are our own rough calculation, not the airline's.
- Travel alert news stories are written automatically from FAA and National Weather Service data and updated when the alert ends. Weather alerts are matched to airports by forecast zone and warning area, so an alert can cover an airport while it is quiet there.
- Spotted an error? Let us know. Better still, fix it upstream in OurAirports, Wikidata or OpenStreetMap so everyone benefits.
